Welcome to Sembly Studio! This article is here to help you get oriented and make the most of the platform. It walks through the things you may want to set up or review before you start creating artifacts.
None of these steps are mandatory; you can create an artifact at any time. Think of this as a helpful checklist to orient you around what is worth setting up and exploring, whether you are an admin organizing your workspace or a member getting ready to create.
To onboard your team in Sembly, you will need to upgrade to a Pro, MAX, or Enterprise plan. Once you are set up, here are the things you may want to do to organize your workspace for your team.
Add company branding. If you create documents for your own company (not only for your clients), add your Company Branding so it is available on the platform and can be applied to your artifacts.
Set up workspace automations. You can set up shared workspace automations so that every member you onboard can use them for their artifacts. Currently, Notion is available as a workspace automation.
Add team members. Invite your team to your workspace and assign each of them a role, so they can start working in Sembly.
Add credits (if needed). Your workspace already comes with some credits. If you need more, you can purchase additional credits at any time.
Create your artifacts. Once you are set up, you can test how it works and start creating your artifacts. You can do this in Guided mode or in Advanced mode.
As a member, here are the things you may want to set up or review before you start creating artifacts.
Add clients. Add the clients you will be creating artifacts for, so their details are available on the platform.
Add branding. Add the branding you will use in your artifacts, whether your own or your client's.
Enable or disable Sembly Notes as a source of information. You can choose whether Studio is allowed to use your Sembly Notes as a source of information when creating artifacts. You can turn this on or off at any time.
Connect your Notion so you can bring your own materials into your artifact chats.
Create your artifacts. Once you are ready, you can start creating your artifacts. You can do this in Guided mode or in Advanced mode.
