If you're hesitating and not sure what to choose, here are some points that will help you to decide:
1. File upload and recordings. The free trial has strict monthly limits that may not be enough for frequent uploads or recordings. If you need more flexibility, the paid Basic plan offers more generous file upload limits and unlimited recordings. You can also purchase additional credits to upload more files, an option that isn’t available with the free trial.
2. Time processing. Meetings recorded or uploaded under a free trial may take longer to process than on a paid plan.
3. Meeting history. If you cancel paid Basic, your account will be downgraded to the free trial at the end of the billing cycle. Meeting audio files and text media (Meeting Notes, Transcriptions, Tasks) older than 4 months will be automatically deleted and cannot be recovered for the free trial. Upgrade to a paid Basic plan before the retention policy is activated to ensure all your meeting recordings are securely stored for a year.
4. Automations. The free trial is limited to 1 automation rule in Native Automations, allowing you to choose what, when, and where to send data to a chosen app. Zapier and Custom Automations are not available. The Paid Basic plan has extended limits: you can create up to 3 automation rules and use Zapier templates to send Notes, Transcriptions, or Tasks to preferred tools.
5. Agent customization. The Basic plan allows you to change the agent name from the standard {your_workspace_name} Sembly Agent to any other name for Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls. The free trial has no customization options.
