# Do I need to provide a payment method to activate trial?



You'll be required to provide your payment details to activate the 7-day free trial. Don't worry, we won't charge you during the trial. You can test Sembly for 7 days straight. 

If you are not willing to continue using Sembly and do not wish to pay for a subscription, [cancel it](https://help.sembly.ai/en/articles/135-cancel-subscription-includes-trial-cancellation.md) to deactivate your trial. Once the trial ends, you will be charged for the subscription monthly or yearly.
